Exit at Walker Road, proceed north. You are going to be going north on Walker for a few km's. A little bit after going under the E.C. Rowe expressway overpass begin to look for the DaimlerChrysler minivan plant on your right and then the GM transmission plant after that. Shortly after passing the GM plant you are going to be looking for Niagra Street which will be on your left. Look for the "Willistead Manor" sign at the corner of Niagra and Walker Road, and then turn left on to Niagra. Willistead Manor is just a few blocks up Niagra, on your left.

From Downtown Windsor and Detroit-Windsor Tunnel

After clearing customs, turn right at Park Street. At the traffic light, turn left, this is Goyeau Street. Follow Goyeau North, all the way to Riverside Drive. Turn right on to Riverside Drive, you will be going right past Casino Windsor. Proceed east until you reach Walker Road (just look for the Hiram Walkers distillery). Turn right on to Walker. Turn right on Niagra which is the first street past Wyandotte E. (Wyandotte is the first major intersection you will reach). Willistead Manor is just a few blocks up Niagra, on your left.

From Ambassador Bridge

Immediately after clearing customs, go to the right and follow the sign "to downtown Windsor" (just look for the Casino Windsor signs). Follow this road north, all the way to Riverside Drive (runs along the water, can't miss it). Turn right on to Riverside drive and proceed east until you reach Walker Road (just look for the Hiram Walkers distillery). Turn right on to Walker. Turn right on Niagra which is the first street past Wyandotte E. (Wyandotte is the first major intersection you will reach). Willistead Manor is just a few blocks up Niagra, on your left

Helpful Information for our U.S. visitors:

A valid passport or photo identification and birth certificate will be required.  A birth certificate is required for each child and if an underage child is accompanying you a letter from the guardian is required.  Check that your health and car insurance is covered in Canada, as they may not be valid outside of the U.S.  You are allowed 1.5 liters of wine per person and 40 oz. of liquor and any number of gifts worth up to $60 Canadian, unless you are in Canada for more then 48 hours.  Hand guns and radar detectors are illegal in Canada.

  • What is your citizenship?
  • What is the nature of your trip?
  • Do you have anything to declare?
  • Do you have any drugs/alcohol or tobacco on board?
  • Are you going to sell your vehicle in Canada?
  • Have you ever been denied entry into Canada, or have a criminal record?

  • Speed limit-100 kilometers/hour = 60 mph
  • Temperature - 24 Celsius = 75 Fahrenheit
  • Gasoline - 50 liters = 13 U.S. Gallons
  • Gasoline is approximately $0.81/Liter
  • The US Dollar is worth approximately $1.35 Canadian (Varies Daily)
  • Currency exchange services are available at the border or at your own bank before your departure.
  • Cash can be used for small expenses and gratuities.
  • Credit cards are best utilized for larger expenses.
  • Goods and services taxes of 7% are refundable at the border for some expenses. Keep all your bills for a refund.

For U.S. Show Participants:

Bring your car ownership and be prepared to say your car will not be sold in Canada.  Trailers should be registered and licensed in your name or you should have an authorization letter to haul the trailer on someone else's behalf.  Carry proof of insurance for your show vehicle.  State that you are showing your vehicle(s) at the Willistead Classic Concours d'Elegance and have a copy of your registration form.  If you have your car in the trailer, the customs officer may want to see in the trailer (So you may want to pack lightly).
